 manufactured circa 1871. Nickel-plated barrel, lever and hammer with gold-plated receiver and complimented with deluxe walnut stock and forend. Engraved within a panel on the left side of the frame with the crest of Chile. It is thought that this beautiful carbine was a present from the President of Chile to the President of Bolivia. It remained in the Presidential Office until 1950 when it was disposed of and sold. There are several other examples known in the same serial range including #79791 that bears the Mexican Crest. This carbine has the thin "Ulrich" trigger and also has a "C2 or a "G" on the inside upper tang which could stand for Conrad Ulrich or Gold.
